Well articulated. Entropy, sickening greed, bought out politicians who work for the wealthy in order to get a few crumbs for themselves. The only thing you neglect to mention is that we are 5.5 billion overpopulated. SO although its very true that resources are being extracted with total disregard to the pollution that causes and the way they will run out, the way they are temporarily serving mostly the wealthy.. it is also true that the very nature of being human is to use resources. If we could wave a magic wand and reign in the greed of multinational corporations, dissolve the bloated budgets of the military industrial complex, we would still have too many people demanded too few basic resources. We all need water for consumption and for producing basic goods and services. We are over-pumping our aquifers ( four times their rate of recharge in much of the Midwest) and adding 10,000 new consumers to Mother Earth every hour. So while everything you say is spot on it is missing the piece is saying we are desperately overpopulated TOO. Solving all of this is overwhelming and perhaps even out of reach at this point, but the full truth must be told, one child family averages need to be encouraged from a compassionate view point. ( see Havingkids.org fairstart program and my website www.movingupstream.com)

Thank you for this spot on article shared by John Perkins who has been saying this for years.
